EARTH, Laniakea Supercluster—The U.S. government may be sitting on 46 classified videos of objects that appear to defy known physics, recorded by its own military personnel over war zones and restricted airspace. Congress has given the Pentagon until April 14 to hand them over.

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, a Florida Republican who chairs the House Oversight Committee’s Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets, sent a letter to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth on March 31 requesting the videos be produced within two weeks. Luna has positioned herself at the center of Congress’s escalating push for UFO disclosure.

Her letter, published by the House Oversight Committee the following day, frames the demand in stark national‑security terms.

“The lack of disclosure regarding the very real threat posed by UAPs in and around U.S. restricted airspace is concerning,” Luna stated in the committee’s official press release. “The presence of UAPs in and around the sensitive airspaces of U.S. military installations poses a threat to the security of the armed forces and their readiness.”

The 46 videos allegedly span years of military encounters and include clips of spherical, cigar‑shaped, and so‑called “Tic Tac” objects recorded over war zones, oceans, and sensitive airspace. Among the most notable entries of footage reportedly show everything from a UAP formation over Iran, to an object making an apparent instantaneous acceleration in Syrian airspace, and a 2023 shoot‑down over Lake Huron.

The demand follows a September 2025 Task Force hearing where whistleblowers told lawmakers that the Pentagon’s All‑Domain Anomaly Resolution Office, known as AARO, was holding additional video evidence it had never publicly acknowledged. Luna’s letter noted that the Task Force found AARO’s responses to be “less than adequate.”

Secretary Hegseth, for his part, has previously signaled openness to releasing UAP material.

“We’re going to be in full compliance with that executive order, eager to provide that for the president,” Hegseth said when fielding questions from reporters during his February “Arsenal of Freedom” tour. Asked whether he ever expected to be the defense secretary in charge of declassifying extraterrestrial files, Hegseth said that he “did not have that on my bingo card at all.”

The directive in question came from President Trump in February 2026, ordering federal agencies to identify and release government files related to UFOs and extraterrestrial life. Hegseth has not publicly addressed Luna’s specific 46‑video request.

Whether the April 14 deadline actually produces 46 declassified videos or another round of bureaucratic stalling is anyone’s guess. But it’s worth noting that the U.S. government not‑so‑quietly registered the domain aliens.gov in March 2026.

So if the footage does drop, at least the government already has a URL ready.
