Alexandro Wiggins

Alexandro Wiggins is a United States Navy Senior Chief Petty Officer with roughly 23 years of service. He testified before the House Oversight Committee's Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets on September 9, 2025, while still on active duty, describing a multi-sensor UAP sighting from the littoral combat ship USS Jackson in 2023. Testifying about a UAP encounter while still serving made him a rare witness; most military UAP testimony has come from veterans.

Wiggins is an Operations Specialist. His watchstanding duties aboard ship covered sensor integration, management of the air and surface picture, and navigation safety, which placed him in the Combat Information Center where sensor data is monitored and recorded.

The USS Jackson incident became one of the most discussed Navy UAP cases since the Nimitz and Roosevelt encounters, in part because footage reached the public. Journalist Jeremy Corbell published video from the incident in April 2025, and NewsNation and other outlets covered it. Wiggins then put his name and rank behind the account before Congress five months later.

Wiggins testified that on February 15, 2023, at about 7:15 pm Pacific time, in the W-291 warning area off the Southern California coast, USS Jackson crew observed four Tic Tac shaped, self-luminous objects. He says one emerged from the ocean, joined the other three in formation, and that all four then departed simultaneously with near instantaneous acceleration. He described no visible control surfaces, no exhaust plume, and no sonic boom.

He testified that the ship's Star SAFIRE multi-spectral electro-optical and infrared system recorded video from the Combat Information Center, and that radar held tracks on the objects until they departed. He told Congress that sailors need standardized sensor protocols and protected reporting channels, so that reporting a UAP encounter cannot harm a career.

The underlying radar data has not been released publicly, and the Navy has not publicly characterized the incident. According to Wiggins' testimony, the sighting was recorded on shipboard sensors and witnessed by multiple crew members.

As of his 2025 testimony, Wiggins remained on active duty in the Navy.
