Reference note. This guide explains the basics of well-known UFO and UAP cases, people, and claims: what happened, who was involved, and what supporters and skeptics say. Milky Way News takes no position. Further investigation, skepticism, or belief is up to you.

01Who They Are

Matthew Brown is a former Pentagon contractor who has identified himself as the source of the Immaculate Constellation report, a 12 page document alleging a secret Pentagon UAP program, which was entered into the congressional record at the November 2024 House UAP hearing. He has not testified before Congress. His claims, if true, would describe one of the most significant intelligence disclosures in the subject's history; almost none of them have been publicly verified.

02Background

Brown has described working as a contractor on the Pentagon's counter weapons of mass destruction mission, with a security clearance and access to classified networks. Public details about his specific roles, dates of employment, and level of access remain limited.

03Role in Ufology

The Immaculate Constellation report reached Congress before its alleged author had a public name. Journalist Michael Shellenberger presented the report at the House hearing of November 13, 2024, where it was entered into the record with its author anonymous. Brown says he had earlier met with Senate Intelligence Committee staff in a secure facility in August 2024 and submitted reports to Senate committees.

In April and May 2025, Brown identified himself publicly as the report's source on the Weaponized podcast with Jeremy Corbell and George Knapp. He says he has offered to testify under oath; no hearing invitation has materialized.

04Key Claims and Contributions

Brown says that while working on a secure government network he discovered a classified briefing referencing a program called Immaculate Constellation, containing imagery and sensor data of anomalous objects including black triangles, metallic orbs, and disc shaped craft. He says he was instructed to delete the file. The report he authored describes an alleged unacknowledged Pentagon program for collecting and suppressing UAP data. No supporting documents, imagery, or data from the alleged program have been made public.

05Criticism and Controversy

The Pentagon has said it has no record of a program named Immaculate Constellation, and AARO's historical review reported finding no evidence of hidden UAP programs. Brown points to his early, documented contact with Senate committee staff as showing he followed official channels before going public.

06Where They Are Now

As of 2026, Brown continues to give interviews and to press publicly for a congressional hearing where he can testify under oath.
